The North Carolina Funeral Director’s Association is pleased to announce the Selection of Atlantic Coast Life Insurance Company as the Preferred Provider of Pre Need Products and Services for its’ Member Firms. The NCFDA Board of Directors voted unanimously for this Endorsement.
Atlantic Coast Life Insurance Company headquartered in Charleston South Carolina was founded in 1925 by Y. W. Scarborough and J. W. Orvin. Mr. Scarborough purchased Mr. Orvin’s interest in 1954, and the Company has remained privately held by the Scarborough Family since that time. The Company is “fiercely independent” and prides itself on understanding the dynamics of a family owned business and is managed by three of Mr. Scarborough’s Grandsons: Bill, George and Wallace.
