Mrs. Beverly Theresa Gorisek Fischer, 85, of Mantua, OH died Monday, August 25, at her home.

She was born July 12, 1940, in in Pittsburgh, PA, to the late Martin Matthew and Ella Wilda Outsman Gorisek. Bev enjoyed making quilts for those in need, sewing, and working in her yard and gardens. But she especially loved her grandchildren. She never met a stranger and could strike up a conversation with whoever she met.

In addition to parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Martin Gorisek.

Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Dennison Fischer; children, Terry Fischer (Vivian), Ronald Fischer (Tammy), and Kim Lambert (Carl); grandchildren, Justin Fischer (Andrea), Bethany Fischer, Kris Fischer (Megan), Eric Fischer (Katie), Allison Gupton (Josh), Hayley Tippen (Shawn), and Jacob Lambert (Megan); great-grandchildren, Grayson Fischer, Peyton Fischer, Aiden Fischer, Madi Lambert, Braxton Tippen, and Baby Lambert due in December; and many nieces and nephews.

The family invites friends to visit with them at the church one hour prior to the service. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 12 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 6, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with Rev. Father Brian Smith. Inurnment will follow in Westlawn Cemetery.

The family is requesting no flowers. Please consider a charity of your choice for memorials.
