Dianne Hursey

Dianne Phillips Hursey, age 73, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 8, 2018, at her residence. Mrs. Hursey was born in Montgomery County on December 6, 1944, to Melvin R. and Mitchell Floyd Phillips. She was a retired clerical worker in healthcare, NC licensed funeral director, and attended Star United Methodist Church. She was a 1963 graduate of East Montgomery High School. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jasper Lee Hursey. She is survived by her brother, M. Riley Phillips and wife, Marilyn, of Star and nephew, Jordan Hayes Phillips of Star. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, October 12, at Star United Methodist Church with the Rev. Kay Boone officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the funeral services in the fellowship hall.
