Son of Dayne Crumpler, Past-President of NCFDA.
Kelvin Ray Crumpler Sr., age 65 went to be with his Lord and Savior on May 10, 2025, at home with his family by his side.
Kel was born in Clinton, North Carolina on February 14, 1960, to Dayne Capps Crumpler and the late Gordon Franklin Crumpler.
Kel Graduated from Hoke County High School. He then attended and graduated from Gupton Jones School of Mortuary Science in Atlanta, Georgia receiving a degree in Funeral Services. He then returned to Raeford and worked at Crumpler Funeral Home as manager and later became owner and general manager. Kel served Hoke County for over 25 years as the appointed medical examiner. He was a member of Northview Harvest Ministries in Laurinburg.
Surviving Kel is his wife of over 25 years Kimberly Woodside Crumpler, of Raeford, his son Kelvin Ray Crumpler Jr. (Rebecca) of Raeford, two bonus sons Ben Taylor (Katie) of Fletcher, NC; and Chris Young of Greenville., NC; two bonus daughters, Meredith Taylor and Joy Taylor (Steve) of Raeford; eight grandchildren, Kaylin, Currin, Chayton, Israel, Maddie, Jet, Sydney, and Maverick; Mother, Dayne Crumpler of Raeford; his brother Kemp Crumpler (Margaret) of Raeford, a sister Kalen Crumpler Wilhide (Rick) of Raeford; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Along with his father, Kel is preceded in death by two grandsons Gavin Clyde Quick and Bobby Joe Parker, Jr.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 15, 2025 from 1-2 pm at Northview Harvest Ministries, 17760 Log Cabin Lane Laurinburg, NC.
Funeral Services will follow at 2 pm.
Burial will be in Raeford Cemetery.
