Michael James Davison, 50, beloved husband, father, uncle and friend, passed away on September 2, 2025 in Sanford.
He was born in Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe) on December 4, 1974. Mike is survived by his loving wife, Lauren and their two children, Michael & Madeline; mother, Helen Bass and stepfather Dwight Bass of Wilson; father-in-law, Mike Kantor (Loti) of Bradenton, FL; mother-in-law, Susan Kantor of Sanford; brother, Greg (Crystal) of Rockingham; brother-in-law, Ryan Kantor of Nashville, Tennessee; nieces Halie (Bobby) of Sanford; Riley (Andrew) of Raleigh; Remi; Emersyn; and nephew, Jackson of Rockingham and numerous friends and family members in South Africa and United Kingdom. Mike was predeceased by his father James Robert Davison.
Mike was a kind, gentle soul who never met a stranger. His true passion was the restaurant business. Every person who walked through the doors of Davison's Steaks was greeted with a welcoming smile and maybe even a hug. He enjoyed taking the time to get to know all of his customers, many who are like family. Mike was a devoted husband and father to his family that he cherished more than anything.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Davison's Steaks, 1724 Westover Drive in Sanford on Sunday, September 21st at 2:00 pm.
Flowers are welcome to Davison's Steaks or donations in lieu of flowers may be made to Christians United Outreach Center of Lee County.
